What is Australia Post's Send Me™ service?

Send Me™ is a service provided by Australia Post. The service enables you to select free* samples, offers or information from advertisers via an SMS sent from your mobile phone or via this Send Me™ website.

Registering with the Send Me™ service provides Australia Post with your name and address details so that we can mail you the sample, offer or information that you have requested.  The "Communication preferences" section at the end of the Send Me™ registration process also gives you the opportunity to opt-in to receive free notifications of future public offers, as they become publicly available through the Send Me™ service.

Once registered, you can respond to any advertised offers that include the Send Me™ response option, simply by using your mobile phone and texting the advertised "code word" or via this Send Me™ website by clicking on the "More information" button in the "Offers" page and then following the prompts.

Australia Post’s Send Me™ service is a permission-based program covered by our privacy policy and terms and conditions. Your details are held securely and are not shared with any third party without your direct permission. You may opt-out from Australia Post’s Send Me™ service at any time.

How do I register?

Registering via this Send Me™ website:

Click on the 'Register to Send Me™' menu option (top right) and follow the prompts.
Registering via SMS:
If you have not yet provided your name and address details, the first time you SMS a "code word" in response to an advertised offer, you will be asked to “reply with keyword 'Register' followed by your FULL NAME, ADDRESS, SUBURB & POSTCODE."  Once you have provided your details you will receive the following SMS “Thanks address details received. For more info on Send Me™ offers reply with your email or visit auspost.com.au/SendMe."  You can decide if you would like to SMS your email address.

Why do I need to register?

Registering with the Send Me™ service provides Australia Post with your name and address details so that we can mail you the sample, offer or information that you have requested. 

The "Communication preferences" section at the bottom of the registration page also enables you to opt-in to receive free notifications of future public offers as they become publicly available.

Do I to need to re-register every time I use Australia Post's Send Me™ service?

No. Once registered you are able to respond to any advertised offers that include the Send Me™ response service by using your mobile phone or by visiting the website without the need to register again.

What does it cost?

Registering for the Send Me™ service via the Send Me™ website is free.

Registering for the Send Me™ service by SMS requires you to send a minimum of 2 text messages (SMSs).  Each text message (SMS) costs 55 cents (including GST).

There are no costs to receive instant, "free" notifications of offers as they become available through Send Me™.  Samples, offers and information packs are provided "free" by third party advertisers.  SMSs to 19 11 00 cost 55 cents (including GST).

I've forgotten my password, what now?

On the Log in page, enter your email address and then click on the "Forgot my Password" link. Your password will be emailed to you.

The product I want says it's "out-of-stock" - what now?

Some advertisers may, at their discretion, limit the number of offers, products or information available and if demand is high, unfortunately some items may run out. All offers are conducted on a first come first serve basis.

How long does my free sample or information take to arrive?

Your free* sample or information should take between three and ten working days to arrive at the address you have provided. If it hasn't reached you in this time, please request support here.

When do I need to place my order?

Free* samples, offers and information are available for a limited time only. If an offer has been moved to the "Recently expired" section, it is no longer available for sampling. Both current and recent offers can be viewed on the homepage.

How often will there be new offers available for ordering?

Australia Post's Send Me™ service will be showcasing new products all the time. When there is a new offer we'll send you an email or text message where you have opted-in to receive such communication.

How many offers can I order at a time?

You can make one request from each offer available on the offers page.

Is this SPAM?

No. Spam is unsolicited email or SMS and Australia Post's Send Me™ service will only contact you if you have given us permission to do so. You may opt-out from communication from Australia Post's Send Me™ service at any time by texting STOP to 19 11 00 or via the "My Details" section of this website.

Will Australia Post's Send Me™ service pass my details to its advertisers without my permission?

No. Australia Post's Send Me™ service will only contact you directly via your selected medium (email, SMS or both) where you have opted-in to receive communication material. Australia Post's Send Me™ service does not sell or give away your personal information, unless you have provided permission to do so, or it is required by law.

For example, a scenario where passing of information on to a third party may be required where an offer cannot be fulfilled by Australia Post's Send Me™ service. Another example, if a car manufacturer ran a test drive offer for a new model car, your contact details would need to be passed on to the advertiser so that you could be contacted to arrange the test drive.

The terms and conditions state that if I give my permission you can pass my personal contact details to an advertiser. Will this only occur with my permission?

Yes. The opt-in clause is a distinct part of the ordering process. You will be required to read and agree, where you want to agree, to the opt-in statement:

"I give permission for my name and address details to be provided to "advertiser" so they can communicate directly with me."
